Meatloaf Regrets

I made another successful dish today with a recipe provided by http://www.theredgingham.com. It was for the classic meatloaf and it was pretty easy. Of course, I had to keep my 3-year-old entertained while I was putting the ingredients together so it took longer than usual. I managed to put it all together and bake it for an hour as recommended.

Making this meatloaf reminded me of the last time I made it but it was for a turkey meatloaf recipe. I made it in a slow cooker years ago. It had to be between 1998-2000, that's how long ago it was when I was living with an ex. Would prefer not to get into that since he's not worth talking about. Anyways, my brother came to visit that day and the ex and brother had it for dinner. For some reason, I didn't have any since I kind of made myself sick from making it. Weird, I know. The sad thing is that I don't know what it tasted like although I got good feedback at that time.

It also reminded me of how being in that relationship turned me into a person I wish I wasn't. For example, I didn't feel like I was there for my brother at that time when he needed me. I really wish I could turn back time to be a better sister to him and moved him from Vegas to live with me. I should have done this and I should have done that. I know it's pointless to have these regrets. I'm trying harder now to have a better relationship with him. I guess I can only do so much but I am trying harder now so I don't have any more regrets later.

I will post the picture of my meatloaf later.
